Most recently she gave birth to twins (Laura and Matthew) unfortunately Matthew passed away, but Laura seems to be extremely healthy. Caroline Gasmen AKA: Lush One Single Re her nickname: That's what she is, what she does, and sometimes how she looks.... A luscious lady who sells wine, and drinks for a living, and an excellent volleyball player to boot. She has a new roommate Andrew, and they held a rather entertaining Housewarming Party. Dating hard, partying harder, recently moved back to the city ... there'll be no keeping up with her now. Cheryl Nishimura Married (Kent) College friend, who I introduced to Kent they finally got married, and no, I didn't have to take out another personal ad to find Kent for her ;). Marathon runner (ran Boston and qualified again for next year) and an excellent baker/cook. She's probably the closest friend I have down here, even if she does work in the city. Daryl Jacobson Married Ivona Met in Seattle, founding member of Mixed Nuts, and a shameless flirt at the NAGVA events. Oh, and we turned him into an excellent primary passer, that plus his already steller hitting & back row made him an all-star numerous times. Recently engaged it's hard to keep up with him because he travels so darn much for his work, and now since Ivona is from the Czech Republic anyone who's trying to track him down better be ready to put some serious air miles in. Elena AKA: Bird Girl Planet Brain Attached (to me) (well, and Gilbert too) Ex-coworker, bizarre but strangely interesting, she's my age, my speed, and pretty fun, even if she always brags about being Canadian (Toronto) I guess I can't hold that against her. She's also a pretty good baker, I think she might give Cheryl a run for her money. Gilbert is her extremely entertaining Black Headed Caique We got married this past October, and adopted two other birds, a yellow thighed caique named Cracker that is now the boss of Gilbert, and an crippled cherry headed conure named Cricket. Now both Cracker and Gilbert terrorize Fila every chance they get. Felly Bergano Married (??) Neither of us can remember when we met, but it was a long time ago, we've been great friends for a long time. She's one who's always happy to see me, and strangely enough, always has time to spend with me. She is clearly one of the most talented and considerate people I know. She recently got married again, and moved away and then back to Seattle again with her new husband. Karen Soo Single I met Karen at SkiASIA's Sun Valley Trip she's a game skier and a clothing designer, who has designs on west coast living. She's currently single, and has finally moved to this coast. Kathy Linton AKA: Kat Single droopy-finned and gun-shy My alter ego, Twister babe, and Gold Schlager slinger, I've now determined that Champagne makes her extremely bubbly. She's my semi-permenent, retired, rev-coed doubles partner who spends all of her current free time sailing. Generator of multitudes of SOU's (Steve Owes You) There are many, many more stories here, most of them volleyball related just ask her some time. Ken Christensen AKA: Kenny Married Dana (Dah-nah) Ken is quiet but lethal on the vollyball court, and he always seems of good cheer. He's currently going to school to become a Network Technician so he doesn't have as much time to play, but that hasn't stopped him from being a chick magnet. Kent Woo Married (Cheryl) Met him at the ASIA ski trip in Aspen (95) as part of the Hawaii GDI contingent (that's G*d D*mn Independants for those who weren't there ;) Visited whenever I was in town, introduced him to Cheryl and he decided to marry her. He only bets on UCLA when they have a better than 50% chance of winning. We now ski with the Dragon/Pheonix Ski Group out of Hawaii. Lora calls him her Costco Buddy. Kiz Dodds Single "Special K" A very cool company-mate, a trained landscape architect doing IT work, she's a stud soccer player and skis/snowboards regularly. She helped to pick my townhouse colors and flooring. Even with all of the stress of her job, she always appears to be in a good mood and still manages to make time for me in her busy schedule. All that exercise comes at a price though she's very injury prone (ankle, knee, and now broken wrist, although she claims differently). She also spends a good deal of her time up in the city (SF) so I rarely see her on the weekends. Not surprisingly she's responsible for giving me the copy of the dating movie Ah, L'Amour which I claim resembles her dating life closely ;) Lori McKenzie-Fischman Married (Glen) One of the most athletic people I know, for a long time she was Seattles reigning rev-coed (vball) queen. Lately shes finally earned her women's AA sand rating and has been taking up rock climbing to boot. She's extremely nice, always seems to have a smile on, and continues to make time to keep in touch, which I really appreciate. Latest news is that she had her baby, she sent me pictures but I have yet to put them up. Miyo Wolf Single One of the devoted volleyball clan, she's always willing to attend a Sonics game on short notice. You might have even have been officiated by her if you played volleyball in the Seattle area. She spends most of her mornings rowing now and taking care of her new house. Patty Married Ronnie A Ben Bridge Babe, strings pearls on the side, and still has time to send cards on peoples birthdays, even if she hasn't seen them in over a year. Much appreciated, but she really dislikes all this web based invasion of privicy so I can't even put her last name here. She also flew off to Las Vegas to get married after a relatively short engagement, unfortunately I was unable to attend so I don't have any pictures to share. Rod Aglibot AKA: Chef Rod Single Caroline's ex-roommate, you'll probably never find a nicer guy. He's an excellent chef and host who had just moved to LA to open ZaZen (Venice Beach, CA, corner of Washington and Pacific) and is now going to be opening another resturant in Beverly Hills. Always seems to love a gathering, especially when he gets to cook for an Aloha Sunday. If only we could keep the (usually young and involved) users/abusers away from him. Scot Thompson Single One of the few people in the volleyball group older than me (by 8 days !!) and also one of the few who actually remember to call and include me in the outdoor activities, even when I'm in CA. He's an avid wine taster but I always have to ask if he's dating cuz he just doesn't say, or even bring them around much. Tira (McKibben) Holt Married (Matt) Another friend from Jr High, owned by two kittys, with whom she shares her husband Matt. If you ever need to buy something at the Northgate Nordsrom's Petite Focus, look her up, she'll tell you stories about me if you ask nicely ;)
