It was such an entertaining weekend, spent most of Friday with Angel, it was all about her cuz it was her birthday (29 again!!) She managed to charm Mr Porter and "Met the Man" at Dixies. Then we were off for some bowling lessons (yes, she managed to get me into a bowling alley again!! ;) then it was off to Bellevue park to walk Tango followed by shopping mania at Belle Square. I managed to get her home on time for Ken's little surprise dinner. I even had time to swing by my parents to visit Aunty Ruth who appears to be doing well, especially with the wheeled chairs upstairs ;) Later that night it was midnight bowling for Angel -- I seem to have worn her out during practice (she bowled about 5 1/2 games) and I managed to kick the rust off (as well as breaking out the trusty Red Hammer) to throw a 193 & 199, almost enough to make me consider bowling again.

During practice, Angel seemed to really like my Mongoose wrist brace, so before midnight bowling I stopped by my old haunts (Imperial Lanes) to pick one up for her, and surprise, surprise it was the weekend of the Northwest tournament so I managed to vist with some of the old gang. The pro shop owner (an ex teammate) gave me two different sizes for Angel and wouldn't you know the purple one fit ;)

Saturday it was haircut time, then back down to imperials to drop off the other brace, and visit for a while. Boy things have changed alot in the past 10 years, most of the women I knew appear to have upped their averages at least 20 pins, some well beyond where I would expect to bowl, so much for my comeback ;) Did manage to see Carol Kojima (well known to the volleyball gang) as expected she's an excellent bowler (saw her shoot a pretty effortless 226) and also as expected her modesty was in full force.

That afternoon, it was a pool party at Jillians with Angel & Ken, nothing like a extended weekend birthday party, after that it was off to Juliet's wedding reception, a volleyball reunion of sorts, it was great fun, and the food was good.

Sunday was reverse coed-at Sound Mind & Body, played with Duane, Kerry & Miyo, Duane & Kerry brought me a shirt from the women's final 4 in Hawaii and an excellent banana bread loaf *yum* Lunch was with Kat who was finally in town at the same time -- then it was superbowl with Aunty Ruth, and the day was topped off by dinner with Tracy.

I neglected to mention that I spent the weekend testing out my digital camera (Nikon Coolpix 950) I'm busy transferring all of the pictures out of the camera, but in the next day or two there should be shots up of Juliet's reception and Angel's many party events.

Good news is that the new front page seems to load relatively fast, bad news is that both my linux box & my mac, seem to display things much smaller than my pc at work, I'm going to have to be much more careful about the layout now otherwise things are going to wrap strangely. Put the wedding pictures back up finally too. Next is to find those pictures that go with the bios -- and believe me, I have plenty to choose from.

Ok, it's taking way too long to get a real logo drawn (especially with my design skills) so I'm opting for an intermediate design and getting my journal up again. I'll be working on it frequently now. Having a new digital camera (Nikon Coolpix 950, thanks to my sisters) is great, and with my own server there'll be plenty of room for candid pics.

The ants are back, mixed up another brew for them.

The ants seem to be gone .. strange, that was too quick to kill off the whole nest.

Ant Attack !! infested the kitty food dishes, and then the food box itself. Fed them multiple kinds of baits, even a special boric acid & suger water. They're sneaking in via the electrical socket on the wall boardering the outside. Tiny little things, spooky seeing the food move was odd, now I really understand why they call those moving dashes ants ;)
