Still been really busy, went to New Orleans to play a NAGVA tourny, was pretty fun, but
was kinda under the weather. Did manage to finish a whole hurricane, and ate plenty of
red beans and rice (*yum*). Team didn't play all that well, and I didn't have a very
well defined role, but at least I got to play some for the first time in weeks.
Last weekend I was in Seattle again, buried Cameo next to the Japanese Maple Tree
by the house, the sonics split (again!) and bought plenty of books at Tower Books which
has decided to close its doors.
I've been under the weather for the better part of 2 weeks, travelling doesn't help,
am starting to feel better, just in time, since bball starts again, and now that I'm
in town for a bit I should be able to get some vball in too, thats assuming I don't
spend all of my time picking colors and appliances.
On the house front, the previous owners finally moved out, and wed the work begins, new
garage door and new kitchen and bathroom floors. Next I have to pick a painter before
I can schedule the hardwood floors. And as soon as the HOA varience is done I'll have
the gas lines run to the kitchen and laundry. Moving will be interesting, as the
floor guy can't do the whole house at once, and I'll probably have to wait a month or
two to do the upstairs.
This weekend I have house guests as my brother and his wife are going to crash in my extra
room while their place is being fumigated. Hope they can stand the mess, everythings
all over the place and I still have to start packing.
Even though I've been travelling, I still managed lunch with Kiz, birthday dinner
with Kat (Morton's, spotty service though), and dinner with Caroline and Rod. This
week is a food week, as I still have dinner with Cheryl, Caroline's going away dinner
(Roy's), dinner and a flick with Kiz (outside of work, finally! ;) Mama Mia with Karen
and dinner/party at Tom's for the end of the weekend.

Well Christmas was rough, still digging out from all of the issues, but at least
my cousin had her baby.
I still haven't opened all of my gifts, or mailed the ones that should've gone out of state
oh well, I'm sure they'll understand.
My house also finally closed, so now I'm in the midst of getting estimates and arranging
schedules -- hopefully in the next few weeks (after the previous owners move out) I'll
have the before pictures up for viewing. Things on the work list include running gas to the
kitchen (need a varience from the home owners association), hardwood floors (do the whole
house or just the main floor?) painting (everything), new garage door and opener, new
kitchen/bathroom floors (termite section 1 items). I think I at least have the
garage door ready, and the linoleum for the kitchen and bathroom picked out.
Speaking of pictures, I've finally started getting to my backlog, hopefully
this week all of the xmas pictures as well as the last aloha sunday dinner
(from way back in october) will be up and available.
New Years was decent, Angel blew me off, the sonics split, but I managed to
spend new years with Elaine, back to our
old (new) haunts ... The Wild Ginger, food was still good, but the place is so huge now
that its lost a lot of atmosphere.
