Old Journal Entries

• 3/31/01
  Ugh, what a long week, finally got everything moved to the new place, thanks to Steve (from work), Kent & Cheryl, Karen and Lily, it was pretty amazing Cheryl, Karen and Lily unpacked my kitchen in record time, and boy am I sore and exhausted from the moving and cleaning. Now I just have to unpack enough for my sisters to stay this week. At least I know the fridge and washer work ;)

  Fila on the other hand is very unhappy.

  I'm back, sorta, well at least the server is up at my new place, but I still haven't fully moved yet. Updates will be sporadic until after April 1st when I'm staying at the townhouse. But until then, the work is progressing nicely, floors are sanded and will be finished next week. The cleaners came through, the windows are spotless, except for the one one that needs to be replaced. The bathrooms are sanitary now, but I still have to patch the enamel, and re-glue the soap dish. The downstairs carpet cleaned up nicely, it should last till I rip it out (latest plan, downstairs bonus room in linoleum or slate, as a semi-mud room, and hardwood stairs).

  I've actually started moving things, the garage is filling up but the big things will have to wait till next weekend, good thing my boss Glen let me borrow his truck. Hopefully it'll be a short move, although I still need to go rent a bigger truck for saturday.

  In spite of all this, I still managed to get some spring skiing in at Tahoe with the Nisei group -- now my racoon eyes are sunglass shaped instead of google-eyed. It was pretty fun, got some good skiing in, and some pictures (yeah, way behind on getting everything posted).

  On other social news, I'm still get my weekly Kiz-fix, usually lunch or dinner, she's still seeing that guy in SF. I've also gotta start making a bit more time for Lily (in SF) since she's pretty cool too, now if only I could find another vball partner in SF to replace Caroline it'd be really easy to spend lots of time up there this summer.

  Short update, racoon eyes from Jackson Hole, met some neat people (more later) pictures and stories will have to wait as the DSL moves to the townhouse on wednesday and I'll be in the midst of packing this month trying to move, but the floor is coming along nicely.
