Wow another week, and no update, work was crazy, managed to see Blade 2 with
Elena before heading out to Sacramento for a vball tourny -- we're playing
better, but the big idiot is still there, we'll probably play the next tourny
and then skip regionals so as to stay sane.
In addition to the vball I got some bball in, small world, it turns out that
a couple of the folks I play with actually know Lisa (the one who used to room
with my cousin Tiffany) and Stacy who both work with me. You'd have thought it
would have come up in the 2 years we've been playing but nooo ;) In any case
I'm still pretty banged up (left rotator, right knee) and there's another
vball tourny on the 6th, after that if they're still a problem I'll go have
them checked.
Weather has been kinda icky, cold and windy so I haven't been on the bike
for a while. Got to ride it today and I can't wait for full blown summer. Did
finally put my tank protectors on, they overlap a bit and bubble so I'll
have to make some time to better position them, but I think I'll be riding it
to see how well they work first.
On the website front I've finally gotten all of the ski pictures up, including
the ones from my film camera, now to cut cdrom's for everyone so I don't have
to mail hardcopies.

Way to busy at work, out lots with Kiz and Elena, so I got a full
suite of movies in (see the reviews on the main page) and then
I made all of my worlds start to collide. First there was dinner with Cheryl &
Kent so they could meet Elena, then this past weekend Kat was in town so
we spent most of the time out shopping and seeing movies. So far she's gotten
managed approval of all (like that really mattered, but probably to her ;) and
now I have to spy a bit to keep my ears from burning. ;)
Shopping mania it was with Kat this weekend, 6 hrs at Gilroy, generated 3 pairs of shoes,
5 pairs of pants, a pair of oakleys and a great leather jacket that was an excellent
deal ($99 for a $400 jacket in primo condition) Unfortunately the jacket is just
a bit too nice to be using on the bike. Then we wandered off to Half Moon Bay so that
Kat could pick up her annual allotment of Obester Sangiovese.
Even though work has been busy, I've managed just a few things around the house,
I finished the trim painting of the stairs, put a rack and tank protector
on my bike, and bought a CD-RW drive so that I can, finally, archive things
off of my machines and clear up some space.
Oh, and at long last I finished my Whistler ski trip pictures (well at least
the digital ones) You can take a look at them
here
Next up is the set of regular photos that were put on disk, as soon
as all of those are done, I'll burn the set on cd and send those out
to folks in lieu of copies of the photos (although I still have some
extras of those too)

Yeah, yeah, yeah, too busy for an update, works been really busy, but
I still managed two movies with Kiz, and had a fun
time at Elena's housewarming party despite some notorious no-shows. Did spend
an inordinate amount of time trying to put my taxes together, it took a while
(one night to about 3am and another till 1) but I finally got it all done and
sent off to my CPA. Hopefully I won't owe any money this year but we'll see.
This past week was kinda rainy so no biking, even still I managed to remove
all of the ugly warning stickers, and put the rear rack on (pictures soon) I
even finally bought a pair of textile overpants (First Gear) so that I can
ride more safely. Did get a couple of hunderd miles on the week before, including
a day out with Elena riding 2-up on sections of highway 9. Pretty twisty would've
been more fun if I was used to the bike, and she was used to riding, even still
well worth the trip. Next time maybe we'll try the infamous Skyline Drive.
Saturday was a party day, Sam had a bbq so we swung by early to chow down, then
we were off to Scotts Valley for a bday dinner with Elena's friends -- pretty fun
and good food to boot. We even had a bit of time to visit Michelle (Elena's sister)
in Santa Cruz and shop a bit downtown.
Been playing a bit of bball, but not much vball, still trying to rest my (left)
shoulder since I hurt my rotator-cuff. Hopefully the new massuse (orthopedic/sports
medicine massage) will good for it on monday.
Lately I've been slightly more motivate to finish off the house, did some trim painting
including the stairs (oil based enamel *yuck*) still a bit more but it should
be easy, then its time for the baseboards. I did buy a mitre saw, now I just have
to figure out how to get the baseboards home and then paint them (even more
of that oil-base enamel to clean up *ugh*)
Finally, I'm still working on my skiing pictures, had to put that all to the side
while I worked on my taxes, hopefully this week (but I think I've said that before ;)
