Just a short note, still catching up with the jet lag, the trip was fun, the wedding was entertaining, but it rained most of the time I was in Vienna. I'll have a more extensive travelog for the trip and the wedding in a week or so. All of the digital pictures are ready, but I still need captions and the film pics won't be ready till later this week.

Oh and for those of you waiting patiently, yes, there are actually un-obscured pictures of Elena in Europe and at the wedding.

In any case now that I'm back, I'm driving my car a bit to check it out, there are some little details that are not quite up to snuff, but they have a life time warrentee and want me to drive it for a bit and then bring the list of things to them.

I got back just in time to catch the end of the fall alaska fare sales, so I booked my Seattle filghts for my Nov/Dec sonics games, good thing that I can work out of the Seattle sales office, cuz to get the best fares ($117 rt) I had to extend a couple of the trips, good thing there were mid-week games during the cheap flight times.

Got my car back yesterday, looks good but there are some nagging things that need to be fixed. Luckily its got a lifetime warentee on the work so I can have that handled after I get back. Finally got all packed last night may not have enough room for souvinirs but we can always buy another checked bag since we're only taking one for the two of us. In any case, off on vacation so no updates till I get back, and then it may be a while while I unwind. I may be checking my web account at email.com account while I travel but no guarentees.

Well I finally got the Hood To Coast pictures up, you can look at them here but I guess the team will have to wait till I get back for the cdrom. Still have to get the rest of the plumbing work online, but at least they're all done now, including all of the sheetrock and texturing.

Been spending most of the week and weekend shopping with Elena to prep for our trip, got just about everything, now I just need to setup the transport to SFO. Oh and I might even be getting my car back this week, we'll see though, I'm not holding my breath.

Yikes, such a break, and so busy, I've still got to get the Hood To Coast pictures and page all together and then the CD's cut for the team .. hopefully before I leave for Prague. But as a short synopsis, the team finished in just around 30 hrs (that'd be a 9 minute/mile pace for almost 200 miles). However the only thing that really mattered was that Lynn (Van 2 !!) kicked *ss the last leg and put that snotty Liberty team behind her by making up 5+ minutes (that, after Beonda made up 2+ minutes on the previous leg) I know that was the goal of at least one other team too ;).

Monday and Tuesday I worked from Seattle, but I had time to have a belated b-day dinner with Kat. Went to Morton's and service was much better then the last time, although this may not have been an official dinner since we used Kat's gift certificate. In any case we barely split a 40oz Porterhouse and large potato, but at least we still had room for a most excellent souffle (chocolate of course)

Most of the rest of the week was busy catching up at work, the long weekend was a blast though. Daryl was in town, as was Ivona, his fiancee, so we went to Napa on Sat after stopping by to see Sam playing at the national 9-man tourny, we enjoyed it (vball after all) but Elena and Ivona were less than enthused so they wandered off for coffee and a bathroom hunt. Speaking of which, I think Ivona was happy to have someone that was on a similar "break" schedule.

After seeing a few wineries (and peacocks !!) we stopped for a bit of shopping in Petaluma .. I managed just a bit of damage this time, shoes and a belt for the upcoming wedding. Then we stopped for dinner at a Thai place that we picked out of the dining guide .. it wasn't too bad, but the service wasn't all that great.

Sunday was kick back day, or so we thought, then we remembered having to run some errands .. looking for luggage mostly, but at least I found a large rolling hardcase at Costco, and Elena found a small roller carry-on and while we were out and about we took a side trip to (finally) find the New (Old ;) Almaden Quicksilver mine museum .. kinda far but pretty cool.

Later that night was dinner at Outback with Elena's sister then off to see Spy Kids 2. We got home just in time to watch the start of the 24 marathon, but I ended up missing a good 8 hrs or so of it, at least the rest of it is on tape but it keeps me up at night trying to catch up.

Monday was veg again and more 24, later we headed up to the city to have dinner with Daryl and Ivona before she left. Surprisingly there was no traffic at all and we ended up having Dim Sum at Ton Kiang (Geary and 22nd).

On the house front they replaced my shutoff valve and patched the wall, tomorrow the other plumbers will be looking at the water heater to see if the intake/outtake connections are switched. Then all that remains is the sheet rock for the original drain repair. My car still isn't ready, hopefully before I leave but who knows. On the same tact my re-fi is in progress (5.5%) and maybe that'll close before I leave too.
