Spent the past week in Seattle (working remotely) unfortunately the Sonics lost
2 of 3 games ... did get to see Kat's house under construction though, it'll be
a nice place for the re-initiation of the yearly New Year's Party.
This is going to be a hectic week, short week for work, but have to shut down the lab
and then off to Seattle again right after thanksgiving, hopefully the sonics
will do better this time.
I managed to secure plenty of loot for my bday:
- Things I bought
- New Nike Sunglasses
- A front fork stand
- Corningware to fill out my set
- New shoes
- Black & Decker bathroom scrubber
- Various trinkets at the Buddhist Church Arts and Crafts fair
- Things I got
- A really nice carnivore dinner (Ruth Chris)
- Lots of chinese food (Sea Garden, Kau Kau)
- Yummy Carrot cake (Tira & Matt)
- Family bday dinner including root beer floats and ox-tail soup
- A pancake pan
- Stuffed frog
- 525 watt KitchenAid Mixer (white)
- A personalized calender with a picture of Gilbert and Michelle

Pretty good weekend, saturday spent most of our time in Santa Cruz volunteering
at the EarthVision film festival that Elena's sister Michelle was hosting. Sunday
we wandered up to see the Bay Area Motorcycle show, some pretty neat stuff, nothing
pressing to buy (not even a scooter for Elena) but it was nice to see Chuck and chat
for a while.
Going to be pretty busy travel wise for the rest of Nov, and I still got to
clean up some and get those baseboards on by next year so we can have a housewarming
party. At least my body is still holding up pretty well, the ankle is a bit sore
but hans't stopped me from playing yet.

Managed to get a few movies in, but even better was a trip to see the sonics
beat Utah badly. Work has been pretty busy, but still lots of things to
distract me. Mostly sports, the body is holding up pretty good for 3 times a week.
This weekend is going to be busy too, Elena's sister is running a film festival and
there is a motorcycle show in San Mateo that Chuck is working. Also its finally
started to rain again, and that roof leak is back again ... oh well, the HOA will
have to take care of it.
Oh when I was in Seattle I got to spend a good chunk of time with the twins, Matthew
is growing pretty big, but he'll have to have the trach tube for quite a while (maybe
2 years) Laura was pretty animated too but it was close to her nap time. I took
a few pictures but they're still on the to-do list.
