You might have heard the rumors...
    You might not believe it...
As of October 22, 2004, I'm now part of a blended family, and quite the family it is, Elena's waiting for a ring to match her hair, Gilbert hopes I'll take the collar off, Cricket's jealous of me, Cracker is more interested in the Furby, and Fila just wants more lap time, I don't know how much more fun it could be...

Sorry, there are no pictures, in fact it was a very private ceremony, just us and the Justice of the Peace and a registrar, we signed up for a confidential wedding, no witnesses, no easily obtained paper trail.

What about the reception you ask? well the tentative plan is to have a set of small receptions in Seattle, the Bay area, and in LA after the first of the year. Nothing fancy, just "the gang" and some close relatives to hang out a bit.

Oh and I did have a rather nice visit with Mair and Tony when they were in Seattle. There are a few pictures but they're not up yet, I should get to them before I leave for China though.

And I thought I was going to be so good about updates again .. but lots of things seem to always get in the way. Here's a short summary:

    • Daryl & Ivona's visit was fun, but more interesting was their announcement this month that they're expecting in April .. congrats.

    • Quick trip to LA for Labor day, for Caroline's bday party, a visit with Lori (Glen and Tyler) and to see all of my cousins, including Mason. Pictures to come, but the bday dinner was at Rod's new resturant Yi Cuisine and of course, the food was excellent.

    • <nerd alert> I rearranged my whole computing network and re-racked everything so I could add a new file server for basically unlimited storage (and hopefully a bit more throughput for the webserver)

The main thing right now is that I'm hustling hard at work, so I can make the project ship on time, thats really important this time since I'm taking a trip to China with my parents about 2 weeks after the project's scheduled to be done. Add that to the running around for the visa and the travel plans and I've been pretty busy.

Elena's company continues to make inroads, hopefully there will be some good news in Nov about contracts at some quality locations, until then its still farmers markets on the weekends and donation/fundraising events to show off her product.

Probably won't make many updates for the rest of the month, but come back in Nov, I'm sure there will be interesting news then..
