well, the futons arrived, and they took longer than expected to
assemble, but at least there is now a spare couch/bed in the extra
room (visitors, come on down!) and a couch to sit on in the
livingroom (no more floors!). Unfortunately the place isn't as
clean as it should be (still stuff to unpack too) but I think Kat
can live with it for a weekend. Also I'm now completely
Californized, having enrolled as a California State member of the
AAA.

it would be much nicer if my new Centerline net fit in the trunk
without having to put the seat down. Now it's time to find someone
to play.

I don't know why people would live in Houston, its like being
steamed to death, and it was only May! Team played ok, went .500 in
pool, lost our A player to injury in the 2nd game, and had to pick
up another BB hitter to replace him. Unfortunately we were out of
the tourny in 2 straight matches. Oh well, maybe next year. Daryl
wasn't quite the talk of the tourny this time, but one of the few
straight women there thought I was gay, it must all rub off because
our A player complained that someone thought he was straight too!!.
It turned out to be an expensive weekend, I bought
a new gym bag and a volleyball net. Oh and before I forget,
Sandra is a loser, not only did she forget I was coming to
town, she was going to leave, and even though she stayed in own,
she didn't even visit me at the tourny or the airport (where I had
almost a 2 hr wait) sheesh.

Finally had a weekend in town, to myself, got lots of errends done
and spent some money, still have to finish cleaning & unpacking but
at least kat will have a bed in her room when she comes to
visit. Tried the NAGVA gym and the play was pretty good, even ran
into some ex-Seattle-ites AJ & Fritz. Met one of my neighbors, she
has 2 gorgeous kittys, and luckily I'm not considered a noisy
neighbor.

Strange thing, they've just started running that Jack-In-The-Box
commercial, the one where he challenges McD's & BK to "Change their
ways" could have sworn they got up to day 84 in Seattle, but they
appear to be stuck on day 23 here.

Went to LA and it rained !! did see a pretty good match for the
NCAA Men's championship though (BYU in 3)

It's been a good news/bad news kind of week, car got tuned up and
needs new tires, but turns out my car actually has the same size
rims front and back (most cars of my model don't) so I can rotate
them to extend their life. Found a Storables down here so I can get
lots of (relatively) inexpensive home stuff, but it's about 30
minutes away and it's the only one in the Bay area. Was asked to
play a reverse doubles (blind vball date) but she wants to play in
May and I only have 1 weekend free, not only that but I've seen her
play -- and she'd only be BB in Seattle and she's about 5'4". I
don't know why she's telling people she plays AA/A down here, oh
well we can play short and hard in A -- either that or there is
something severely wrong with the rankings down here.

Had an interesting trip to Seattle, finally fixed my dads machine,
Sonics are out of the playoffs (but that saves me money), a friends
dad is in the hospital, someone is moving, a few folks are
pregnant, I managed to surprise a few people this time. I spent an
evening with Tira seeing how sales closes out a department. Believe
me, there is no better place for a
single (straight) guy to hang out, than Nordstrom's Petite
department, not only is active-ware to the left, but lingerie is to
the right, and they put the mens restroom right there, very
convienient. I also heard the
sweetest real story
in a long time during this trip.
