Sconces & Baseboards, Oh My!

Warning these can take a while to load
They're named strange because that is the way my digital camera auto-names them.

If you want prints of these, you can send them to www.kodak.com electronically, or by web reference and they will print the file and send it to you for a small fee.

Ok, so I thought I'd actually try a couple of home projects on my own, new wall sconces and baseboards.

The sconces are an interesting story, had been eyeing them at IKEA for a while but when I was ready, they weren't in the catalog anymore. They weren't even on display any longer. Luckily when I was visiting Seattle, Kat had occasion (many actually) to go to the IKEA up there, the first time the sconces were on display but not in stock, and still not in the catalog. The next week I was up there again, and this time they had them in stock, so I had to buy them in Seattle and then ship them home for use. They were pretty easy to install, except for the ladder on the stairs bit.

The baseboards took me forever, mostly because getting them home (14' cut into 9' and 5' lengths to fit in the car) and painting them took a while, a long while. Actually I got some painted and then stalled out for the summer without the proper tools or motivation. Finally I managed to buy a mitre saw and compressor/nail-gun and I was ready to go again..as soon as I had a good enough reason. It took my 1/25/2003 deadline to motivate me again. Here are some of the pictures of the baseboards in work
