End of Season Party - Mardi Gras 2000
It was really fun, quite the blast, held right down the road from me at
the Mt View Buddhist Temple. I helped setup and that was actually fun
especially since it was just menial labor, and not co-ordinating ;)
Aside from stringing the lights, the biggest job was creating and
erecting the entry way star.
Whose idea was this thing anyway ??
There were even some old friends there, Barb who is
responsible for me even skiing with NSC at all (yeah, you all
can blame her ;)
And there were some pretty sharp new friends ....
Who, not surprisingly, had friends of her own (well, at least
his name is Steve too ;) ...
There were plenty of costumes on folks I didn't know ...
and who wanted me to spend money ;) ...
or were just plain party animals (love that headress !!) ...
And, of course, the Mattel couple ...
Lest you think I'm really bad, I was trying different settings
on my digital camera to see what they'd look like on an indoors, dark
shoot. So most of the following are "as intended" and, if you weren't
there, properly captured the atmosphere of the whole shindig.
Wow, Ed can still go ...
Ron really was dancing, honest ...
Everyone was bleary-eyed by the end of the night, but still chipped in
to clean-up (nice socks, but I think they're inside out ;)
Believe me, we had to get every single balloon down too before
calling it a morning.
