Daryl & Ivona's Wedding (9/21/2002) - Reception: The PartyWarning these can take a while to load Not much to say about the reception festivities themselves other than just take a look, it went for a long time. Oh and Daryl had this rather interesting idea about sitting the Czech folks directly across from the Americans at the tables. Challenging language wise to say the least. Rob was a great hit with the kids, they eventually tried stalking him with various paper and rubber based weapons. Still there was plenty of entertaining toasts, especially from Ivona's Uncle. We called him Dr Slivovice because he brought his own homemade moonshine version which was, surprisingly, much smoother than the store bought stuff. Yes I had a few shots, but luckily Rob covered for me quite a bit. Boy do they know how to party We (americans) thought we were keeping up pretty well, until the late night singing began, which, dispite Erin's attempts, were pretty miserable. Even still everyone managed to dance, if just for a bit. There were many, many, more incidents and stories, but since I ran out of film/memory they'll all have to remain in the (secret) oral histories of night, but ask any of Daryl's relatives, I'm sure there were lots of different versions of the stories, I'd wait a bit though because the embellishments may be worth it.
